Project 365 (#42 - #48)
Sunday ~ #42/365
Elisha's allergies were acting up big time. He was supposed to have practice but his left eye was itchy, red and swollen halfway shut so we skipped it.
Tuesday ~ #44/365
Bethany helped me make dinner. It included one of her favorites - macaroni and cheese!
Wednesday ~ #45/365
Raining, raining, raining... It rained here Tuesday and Wednesday and cleared up on Thursday. This week it's supposed to rain again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and is wreaking havoc on the kid's ball schedules.
Thursday ~ #46/365
Friday ~ #47/365
Bethany's team getting ready to do their 2, 4, 6, 8 cheer at the end of Friday's game. Another parent took a picture like this for Elisha's team in his first year of Pee Wee baseball (3 years ago) and I've always wanted to do it for Bethany's team. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get this picture. Bethany's hand is the one on top with the orange and black nail polish in case you were wondering!

Project 365 (#35 - #41)
We came from church Sunday afternoon to find our hot water heater erupting (literally!) all over the back room. We had to scramble to turn off the water to the house because we did not know what else to do.
My mom and dad came from Oregon for a short visit because they were coming in the area anyway (well if you count business a few hours away another area!). Bethany got to show off her reading skills while doing her homework with Grandma Judy.
We visited the Marina and flew kites again. The wind was perfect and there was even another guy there flying his kite who gave us some pointers. This is a picture of my mom and Elisha trying out his advice.
Saturday ~ 41/365
Elisha slides while stealing 3rd base. This was the first game my mom and dad have ever seen him play and he did well. Bethany also had a chance at third and got another girl out while playing that base. I had the misfortune of missing it because I had to scorekeep at Elisha's game but Grandma and Grandpa did not miss it!
My kids loved having their grandparents at the game and hope they can come again next year.

Free Stuff Tomorrow
Tomorrow, April 15th, Starbucks is giving away free coffee to anyone who comes in with a re-usable travel mug. The point is to get people to help use less paper products.
And Cinnabon is giving away free cupcakes to each customer for a "tax break" treat.
No, I'm not being compensated to promote this but because I love ya'll so much I thought I'd share. Just make sure you call and make sure your local shops are actually participating so I don't embarass you if for some reason they have chosen not to, okay?

Monster
"Who drinks that?" he asks.
"Anyone who wants to except for you and Bethany," I answer, "because I don't need you guys bouncing off the walls."
"Oh. Does it give people nightmares?"

Project 365 (#28 - 34)
Tuesday ~ 30/365
Bethany stayed the night at a friend's house and Elisha was stuck at home all alone. Okay, not really because obviously his dad and I were home with him. But he decided that he'd watch movies out in the living room and stay up late. He didn't last that long!
Wednesday ~ 31/365
The kids both had a game on Monday but they got rained out. Elisha's was scheduled for Wednesday night. The weather could not have been more perfect. T-shirts and jeans kinda warm and not a cloud in sight.
Thursday ~ 32/365
Bethany's game was scheduled for Thursday night. It was a little colder but still a decent day to play softball. Too bad their coach had a meeting he couldn't get out of. It definitely showed that he was not there. And yes, Bethany is holding her gum bubble in her hand.
Friday ~ 33/365
Another beautiful sunset!
Saturday ~ 34/365
I took this awesome pic of the Indians catcher tagging the runner out! The weather was very, very cold but at this particular moment the sun decided to briefly grace us with its presence.

Easter
Had I realized Yohn was taking a picture I would not have been in the way. But still, Bethany's face is priceless.
Elisha apparently developed an allergy to taking pictures with his sister on Easter morning, or maybe it was the camera, I don't know. What I do know is that he could smile with the best of them until I tried to take an actual picture, then he suddenly itched everywhere and his eyes watered.
After three attempts I gave up.
This is the best that I could do.
Mmmm.... Candy.....
Still having picture taking allergies. See the squinty eyes and the crooked smile. He was whining he was itchy the whole time.
One final attempt at getting a good picture of the two of them together and I gave up. They started fighting too much.
Later on after church we attended the church's annual Easter Egg Hunt at the park across the street. 10,000 eggs and who knows how many kids. I lost Bethany in the shuffle but Yohn had his eye on her the whole time.
Now I get smiles as two very happy children show off what they have collected. And yes it was sprinkling, hence the reason for the hoods.

12 Years
We walked on the beach... (like my shoe prints in the sand?)
... we played in the arcades...
...we played pool...
...we played mini golf...
...we walked on the beach again (in the cold!), ate candy without sharing with children, watched movies uniterrupted, had pizza delivered to the motel and basically did nothing constructive but spend money and time together. Yep, we had fun!
Happy 12 My Love! Sorry I didn't post this yesterday but you know that cough and headache really had me whooped! I love you!
