More Game Pictures

Here's some more pictures of the kids on game days. Bethany is doing really well. Tonight she hit every single time up to bat. She enjoys playing catcher and hates playing outfield. Elisha is in a slump. He hasn't gotten a hit in a single game so far. But he's trying and still having fun so that's all that really counts.

Baseball ready.

This is what Bethany looks like every time she strikes out!

I took this picture of Elisha while he played during Bethany's game. He's down inside some old tires they have at JOBL and I am taking the picture from above.

Bethany found some balloons that had gotten caught on a tree during one of Elisha's games. I saw her pretending to be asleep on them and tried to take a picture but she caught me and opened her eyes and smiled. It's still a great picture though!

I get lots of smiles from Elisha any time he sees with the camera pointed at him.

This is a picture of Bethany getting a hit. It almost looks like she missed, but trust me that ball went forward and she got safely to first base.

I'm Baaack!!!

Okay, so I know it's been forever. We've had internet problems that made uploading hard. They finally found out that we had a corroded line, so now all is well with the internet again. We also had a round of illnesses that got all four of us under the weather. And now we are just extremely busy because of baseball and softball (yes, they both wanted to play this year), however, who could resist taking pictures of their kids in uniform. So here are the first and my favorites so far. . .

This is one of Elisha at his first practice game. He has been both excited and nervous for this season because this year they have to hit off a kid pitcher instead of their coach.

I took this picture from the scorekeeper's box. I know you can't see his face, but I kind of like the unique view.

Elisha got a game ball at his first pre-season game, but unfortunately not for the same reasons most kids earn a ball. He got hit with a ball from one of the kids pitchers. While he didn't get a hit, he stood in and finished his turn. My poor boy has been hit three times that I know of, once by his coach in practice. The good thing, though, is he is learning how to properly protect his body.

Bethany loves to play the catcher because she gets to grab the ball often. I think she just looks cute. She cracked us up on Saturday because she got hit by a ball and then laughed an impish laugh and said, "That ball can't hurt me! I love this!"

Here she is running from second to third. She was very unhappy at her first two times up at bat because she struck out. But on her third attempt she got a hit and was jumping around on the bases. You can't really see it here, but she had a great big smile on her face the whole time.

And here she after she touched home plate. She's not excited or anything!
