One of my favorite things is my kids' creative writing. This little story my daughter wrote in some school papers she brought home recently made me smile, so I decided to post it here so I can look back on it again.
Traveling West
by Bethany
In the morning I would eat breakfast. Then I would pack my things. My mom would too. Then I would get the horses and we would put our things in the wagon. I would sit in the back and Mom would drive the wagon. We would eat deer for lunch. We would eat pig for dinner. We had a safe trip. The indians didn't attack us.
Whew! so glad the indians didn't attack us and that we had a safe trip. But I wonder, did we lose Daddy and Elisha somewhere, or did they decide they were better off in the east? And who hunted the deer and pig we ate?

We were at the house playing video games and eating pizza!
That was too cute. I love that you ate deer for lunch :) I love to read my kids writing as well.
Oh how cute! Love what kids come up with :)
Love this! My brother's stories were all about how my mom fed him, so this sounds familiar to me :)
Thanks for sharing! Who knew you and Bethany were such "western girls"--and hunters!
I wish I still had some of my son's stories from the early years--they were very entertaining :)
