Part of our typical summer vacation includes a ride in Grandpa's boat and a trip to the Snake River. This day was a hot one!
In the 100's with not a lot of shade meant we spent some time in the water.
My mom and dad and cousins still took the time to fish and the kids joined in for quite a bit, but when the fish stopped biting we moved on to this:
Leaping off the rocks into the water. Unfortunately the water was a bit shallow for Yohn and I but the kids had a blast anyways. And yes, I did jump too, but Yohn was too wet to use the camera to get a picture of me!
At the end of the day we came home to this, a huge windstorm that blew grass from the fields onto the power line, knocking out the electricity. Just as quickly as it came it left. Then we played the waiting game for the power. If memory serves me correctly we bbq'd dinner and when the lights finally came back on, it was almost time for bed.

I'm sitting here in September freezing (I'm always cold in my office in cooler weather - too many windows) so it's hard to grasp the allure of jumping into the river. But it looks like a lot of fun. I'm so glad you guys get to take this trip with the kids each year :)
Love those pics of everyone jumping in the water! It's great to see you posting again :)
