Wrap Me in Your Arms

The kids had the chance to perform with their worship team on Sunday morning again. They sang "Wrap Me in Your Arms".

Bethany is in blue, fifth from the left (with her arm in the air).

In Today's Adventure...

Today was definitely a fun day! We had extra kids over to spend the night Sunday night since Monday was a holiday (no school, yay!). Games and movies and pajamas last night and then sunny shining day today. All things considered, it was truly a great day.

They got creative on the poses today. While I did want this picture on the log, they chose how to do each shot.

Loved this bridge, but the sun in the eyes was hard on the kids and there was no other angle to get this picture unless I wanted to stand in the water.

This is the picture I chose for my 365 blog today. I love it!

The seagulls were so ornery, but Jewell managed to hand feed one of the geese anyway!

A little touch football...

Dusk came and ended our day out, but not before the kids got a chance to roll down the hill!

Whoa January! Slow Down a Bit, Will Ya?

Isn't there a rule or something that says after the rush of the holidays January must come in gently and leave slowly? Cuz' if there is, it's certainly not playin' fair!

We've been up to our usual stuff again.

Basketball practice during the week.

Music practice and homework regularly.

Kitty cuddles often.

Basketball games on the weekend.

Dogs in your lap when you least expect it!

Treating the guinea pigs for mites... Not a regular event. Uck! I hope this goes away soon, poor things!

Building recently acquired Lego sets.

Then playing with said Lego sets!

See you again soon!

Check out my other blog, These Are the Moments, where I have decided to try a 365 challenge again this year. I started the separate blog so I could post one picture (sometimes two) daily.
Sixteen days and so far so good. You can see what we've been up to more regularly there.

More From New Year's

These are from our New Year's "Duck Dynasy" style photo shoot:

I don't look so great in this one but Bethany just cracks me up!

Crazy Rednecks! Ha! Ha!

She gives me some of the best facial expressions!
And yes, that is her toy gun that she thought would be a great addition to our little theme. Of course we couldn't bring real guns to a public park without the cops getting called on us, but her bright yellow and orange gun really does add to it! :)

Always so easy to photograph, he was excited for this "photo shoot" and pretty much knew what pictures he wanted to take and how he planned to pose.

We definitely had fun with this one!

Our New Year's family photo became a new tradition a few years ago. Last year we decided to theme it and the kids have given me ideas to theme this year's on and off the past few weeks. We decided on Duck Dynasty because there are three DD fans in the house (Yohn, Elisha & Bethany), two family members have matching shirts (Yohn and Bethany), and one dressed up as Uncle Si for Halloween (Elisha). Given all that, even though I'm not hugely fond of the show I do have camo pants and a shirt to go with it, so we went for it.
