Enjoying Superbowl XLVIII

We celebrated Superbowl Sunday with friends that have turned into family!

Bethany and Elisha were gifted with Seahawks apparel from Grandpa Gene & Grandma Susan for the big day since they are big time Seahawks fans. Bethany has declared since she was small that the Seahawks were her team and Elisha really likes Russell Wilson and Derrick Coleman so he was ready to jump on board the cheering squad!

Excited fans ready to cheer the Seahawks to victory!

Celebrating Marshawn Lynch's touchdown with some skittles. The kids anxiously awaited this moment and wished for many more!

Elisha and one of his best friends. You can see Elisha's shirt much better in this photo.

The (semi) captive audience.

Couldn't forget about us!

This year, I really couldn't decide who to root for. In fantasy football Peyton Manning and Damarius Thomas were my quarterback and wide receiver and the Seahawks were my defense. They both did awesome for me, hence the reason I won our fantasy championship. I had a hard time choosing! In the end, though I was excited for the Seahawks, who have never won a Superbowl before tonight, I was sad for Peyton Manning, who after having such an awesome season, really had a hard night.

The best parts of the evening:

Eating Skittles when Marshawn Lynch scored. ;)
The Hugfest inspired by Bruce Willis' ad.
Spending time with some really awesome people!

It appears your household enjoyed the game a lot more than mine :) Ed and I weren't rooting for any particular team, we just hated such a one-sided score. Besides, we didn't have any Skittles either! LOL

Looks like everyone had fun. I watch for commericals, lol, and I just did not think they were very good this year.
