Open House

Okay, so I know that Open House was about a week and a half ago and that I'm a little behind on my blogging because of baseball/softball and the fact that I am trying to limit my internet time and spend more time with my family. But in spite of all that I still wanted to share these pictures from that Thursday night a little over a week back:

The 2nd - 5th graders were doing a recorder performance at the beginning to show off all they had learned this year in music class. Elisha was so excited about being there but sad because he had to miss a baseball game in order to be at Open House for his performance.

The audience eagerly waits in their seats.

Texas meets California!
I love this photo of Elisha and his classmate. This particular boy moved from Texas before the start of the school year but he does not usually wear his cowboy hat. I guess he decided he needed to show off his country side. They made a great pair with his hat and Elisha's mohawk!

Bethany proudly shows off the stories she wrote. I'll have to share one in a later post that had us really cracking up.

This is the shelf in Elisha's class for backpacks and personal items. The kids always love to lay on it and take a picture.

Love Elisha's mohawk. I agree too, the cowboy hat and mohawk really set the scene! You definately need to post Bethany's story.

As for the headboard, it's funny you mentioned that post because it was Rachel who mentioned the inflatable headboard falling on the couple in the middle of the night. That's where James got the idea from! :)

Love that, "Cowboy meets California", LOL! The do make quite a pair ;)

Praying for you and Elisha! We've finally had a code-free day (so far). I think after a week of cracking down, Josiah is finally getting it (I hope).

Love performances from the kids. Nothing better. Cute. I love the mohawk. What a great picture tradition to get it taken in the backpack shelf. Pretty soon they won't fit at all:)
